(SPRINTCUP MANIA I)

(SPRINTCUP MANIA II)

(SPRINTCUP MANIA III)

SPRINTCUP MANIA IV

It's time for the fourth annual Sprint Cup Mania event. The all around event is actually made up of small events that run throughout the Nascar season as more of a sideshow than anything during a very long Nascar season. This years version begins with the Survivor Series at Daytona, followed by the Winston Rumble. The Tag Team Tournament will consist of the 24 league members this year, and once again there will be a King Tourney, for all the males (16) in the league, and a Queen Tourney for all the females (8) in the league. As per usual, the royal members from the previous season will get special treatment in the next years Sprint Cup Mania events. As a late addition, there will be a mixed fantasy/nascar elimation event called War Games. It's like the Rumble, except everyone starts in a ring at the same time.

 2014 WAR GAMES

For the first time, an old WCW event will make it's way into fantasy racing. A rival to the WWF's Royal Rumble, it started with 60 men in 3 rings, until only a handful were left in each. Then all the remaining  guys would go into one ring with the remaining combatant the champion. So taking the current 23 league members and the best 37 nascar drivers in points, I will divide everyone into 3 rings of 20 to start with. Two things had to change however. One before the event started and one after the first race. First, when depositing drivers into the different rings, I had started by once again stepping aside as a co-King and letting Nathan get the #1 seed, with myself taking the #2 seed. Until of course I saw that John was in the first ring, I decided that as co-Kings, with myself holding the true power by outscoring Nathan during the King vs. King vs. Queen matchup last year, I decided I would take the #1 seed from Nathan so that I could make sure to be in the same ring as John. Of course. Perhaps I could let him get his revenge. Or perhaps not.

See John has been eliminated by me in all 4 of the Winston "Royal" Rumble events that have been done. However in this event, at this point, I still had no intention of keeping track of who eliminated who during the event. For it, to help with some upsets perhaps, I wanted to penalize the fantasy racers, seeing as there are only 22 opponents for each, as opposed to 42 for the Nascar drivers, for the early part of the event. I decided that a 10 position penalty, plus loss of tiebreakers would be in place for the fantasy racers for the first race. This helped to create something very magical as John finished as the 6th worst driver in his ring. With 6 drivers being eliminated, that means that he is gone. Well by the grace of God himself, who do you think finished in 6th place, also after penalties, and would be the one to get credit for eliminating him. I'll let you guess. And I'll let you guess if I will now keep track of who throws out who.

SURVIVOR SERIES

So something magical happened for this years Survivor Series. During the first race of the first round, at Daytona, awesomeness happened.

Heading into the race, there were 6 teams of 4, with a secondary car for me and Dave, our #'s, 13 & 23, on a team under one of our 6. Then I had 2 teams of some legendary drivers and bots, to bring it to 8, so that there would be an even 2nd round of 4 remaining teams. Once I had the almost certainty that I would have 2 more full season entrants, we would have 24. So I had to make a choice and wanted to add them to the team of Misfits with Sean and Zach, the only two left that didn't fit on a team. To do that, I would need to have it a 2 on 4 for the first round, then add them afterward. What made it easier was that the team they would be facing, had Ken, and his pick, the 78 car, finished last. So it made it real easy to allow some tomfoolery.

The magical part, well besides the fact that after I anticipated the addition of one, named Kristen, it made me think of Dave's Kristen, and bringing her back for the new setup. Then the light bulb clicked in and duh, there are two Kristen's, hello new tag team. And it made it the even 24 and 12 teams. So that meant I didn't need the 13 & 23 cars taking up space. But how could I possibly get rid of Major Payne and the Disco Kid? Silly thoughts indeed. So the two bots were taken off of team Labonte, which had Terry & Bobby, and suddenly there was a super team of 4 drivers with 5 championships. Each having at least 1. Epic, yes. But it didn't end there. Their opponents? Team Petty, with 7 time champ Richard as a bot in the 43, the 42 bot of Kyle Petty, the 98 bot of John Andretti, and the 33 bot of Kerry Earnhardt. There you have the 3 biggest names in racing history. Would this superstar battle reach epic heights? Not for one team.

Here are the Survivor Series teams and the matchups:
